Julie completed her law degree in 1996 and is an experienced Solicitor with a demonstrated history of working in the law practice industry. Julie has worked as a commercial litigator in Sydney, a general practitioner in rural New South Wales and was a guest lecturer at the University of New England for Family Law and appeared as a Moot Court judge at the Law Faculty. Julie has also practiced in rural Queensland and later in Melbourne as an in-house legal counsel at a leading Australian bank as an Estate Planner. Julie was later admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in the High Court of New Zealand in 2009 where she practiced in Family Law in both the Family Court of New Zealand and the High Court of New Zealand.
Upon returning to Australia, Julie joined Pearce Webster Dugdales and is currently practicing in Estate Planning (Wills, Testamentary Trusts and Powers of Attorney), Probate (all matters) and all areas of Estate Litigation. Julie advises clients on complex and simple Will preparation, codicils, Testamentary Trusts, Discretionary Trusts and all forms of Powers of Attorneys. Julie also acts for both Executors and beneficiaries of Estates and can assist in obtaining Supreme Court Grants of Representation and Letters of Administration. Julie also advises on administering both simple and complex Estates, forged Wills and intestate Estates. Julie advises court Appointed Administrators, parties for Estate Caveat matters and can assist in obtaining reseals of Probate for international Estates and holograph Wills for Victorian Assets.
A large part of Julie’s practice involves acting for executors and claimants in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the County Court of Victoria for Part IV Testator Family Maintenance claims for both large and small estates. Julie’s clients include spouses, domestic partners, same sex partners and all other eligible claimants. Julie also has experience in a wide range of mediations and acts in trials. Julie also acts in obtaining Supreme Court Possession Orders (property), summary dismissal applications and obtaining Orders for funds in court for minor beneficiaries
